At Coldwater, our Sunday School classes begin at 10am, and our Worship Service begins at 11am.

Services begin with a blended worship service, featuring both traditional and contemporary music led by our worship team. Dress is casual, and we have a laid-back atmosphere.

Holy Communion is open to all believers regardless of membership or denomination.

We love children and we welcome their participation in our worship services. We also want to meet the needs of parents so they are also able to experience a meaningful time of worship.

Nursery during Worship Service: We offer all parents the option of nursery care provided for children ages birth to 5 years. Parents can drop children off at the Junior Ministries Center before the service. The JMC is staffed by a regular rotation of volunteers.

* There will be no Junior Church on 5th Sundays or special days such as Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day.

A large gravel parking lot surrounds the main sanctuary.  Several handicap parking spaces are reserved close to the entrance ramp.  Handicap accessible entry is available at the front of the building close to accessible restrooms.

Lord, make us the church that is needed; provide for us the resources that we will need to complete the ministries that you lay in front of us, revealing yourself to us so that You and only You might receive the glory and praise; take us to or send us the ones in need that we might be able to help; make us spiritually in tune with your Spirit so that we might all be led by You and only You. Amen.

Coldwater United Methodist Church has been an important part of the Coldwater, Kentucky community for nearly 160 years. Our church, originally called Stoney Point, was organized in 1850. The first building, which was a log building, was located 1/2 mile east of Coldwater. A new church was built in 1879 about 1/2 mile south of Coldwater. It was called Stone’s Chapel in honor of George Stone who donated the land for the church.

The current building was constructed in 1914 on land that was also donated by George Stone. This building has had several additions and remodeling projects through the years. The latest renovation project was completed in December 2006 with many improvements that will allow us to continue serving our community for many years to come.
